Lunch on Fridays: Scott Treleaven and TR Ericsson
September 14, 2018
12:00 pm
1:30 pm

In collaboration with MOCA Cleveland and FRONT International’s exhibition at the Reinberger Gallery Great Lakes Research, the Cleveland Institute of Art welcomes artists Scott Treleaven and TR Ericsson in conversation on the subject of zine culture. Treleaven produced the infamous “queer pagan punk” zine titled This is Salivation Army from 1996-1999. During its brief publication, This is Salivation Army inspired a fervent cult following which lends to its enduring lore and significance. Curating the 4th annual rendition of MOCA’s art book and zine fair BOUND, Ericsson is the creator of Crackle & Drag, a 150 issue collection of zines that explore the complexities of human relationships through his family’s history. A fitting preamble to BOUND’s opening, this dialogue is sure to be of interest to artists, writers, musicians, and all those who embrace the DIY ethos.

This event is free and open to the public. Pizza and beverages will be provided on a first-come, first served basis.
