University Hospitals display an art collection comprised of thousands of carefully selected posters and more than 2,000 original works of art, many generously donated by individuals who have been touched by their UH experience.

Virginia Overton created her large scale sculpture, Black Diamond, from recycled roof trusses procured in Arizona for an exhibition at MOCA Tucson in 2016. Originally conceived for display in an industrial interior space, it now graces the entrance to University Hospital under different circumstances; painted black and functioning as a temporary landmark for An American City. Overton’s tilted diamond redirects the viewer’s grasp of the city landscape.
