The Madison Residencies

The Madison Residencies are the incubator within the region-wide experiment that is FRONT International. By situating its artist-center in Glenville, FRONT put down roots in an underserved historic community a stone’s throw from the arts institutions of University Circle, thus accepting the challenge of engaging artists with the urgent issues facing the American city. What motivated the first FRONT team was, in part, the hope of establishing partnerships, forging contacts, and initiating conversation and exchange that would continue to benefit the residents and artists in Cleveland.

The artist-in-residence program started in the fall of 2017, based at the newly developed PNC Glenville Arts Campus. The Madison Residencies are made possible with support from Cleveland Foundation’s Creative Fusion program.
